Community to discuss recent crimes in East Nashville with police department

The meeting is being held following a slew of car break-ins in the area.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - After a recent string of car break-ins in East Nashville, community members are meeting with law enforcement to discuss what can be done to prevent more crimes from happening in the area.

During the last weekend of 2024, nearly 60 cars were broken into.

After a recent string of car break-ins in East Nashville, community members are meeting with law enforcement.

As a result of the break-ins Metro Nashville Police Department’s East Precinct officers stepped up patrols in that area.

However, despite the extra patrols, neighbors are asking for more.

On Tuesday, a community meeting will be held at the East Precinct on Trinity Lane at 6 p.m. where officers will answer questions and listen to concerns.
