New location announced for Nashville Walk To End Alzheimer’s
The 2024 walk will be held at First Horizon Park.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Nashville Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be happening in a new location this year.
Previously, it was at Nissan Stadium but this year it will be held at First Horizon Park.
The chair of the executive leadership team, Chris Reynolds, announced on Tuesday during his visit to WSMV4 for the Today In Nashville show.
Reynolds lost his mom to Alzheimer’s in 2016, and he has made it his mission to raise awareness and money, for a cure.
Reynolds takes a fun and unique approach - for every $100 raised, he will either drink a beer, eat a taco, or walk a mile, documenting his journey along the way.
“My dad, the past 2 years, has almost walked the whole day with me, and we’ll set up the camera and have him share stories about my mom when we take breaks, and that’s always fun because, you know, my mom was quite a character,” said Reynolds.
WSMV4 is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter as the official media partner for the upcoming walk.
The walk will be held on November 9.
