Bowling Fundraiser Planned for “STREETSOLID”
The program works to make the community safer by turning lives around.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - If you are looking for a family-friendly event this weekend, you might consider bowling for a good cause.
“STREETSOLID” is a Nashville non-profit that works with troubled boys and men by treating past trauma.
They also teach things like anger management and have multiple examples of turning lives around, which in turn, makes the community safer for everyone.
On Friday, June 14, they’re hosting a “Strikes for STREETSOLID” bowling fundraiser event.

Some of the men who used to be in the program now help run it and will be participating.
“We give this instruction: ‘Each one, reach one, teach one.’ explained Ron Johnson, co-founder of STREETSOLID. “We want you to reach back and grab someone that may be headed down that same road that you were on and bring them with you, and show them some of the things that you have learned along the way, and that’s what’s been happening.”
The event is happening at the Strike and Spare located at 3436 Lebanon Pike in Hermitage from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tickets are $50.
You can register ahead of time or just show up on their website.
