Nashville company works to help NICU families
AngelEye Health provides technology to help parents feel more connected with their newborns.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Nashville-based company is working to make parents feel less afraid and more connected to their newborn babies.
AngelEye Health provides resources like live video cameras, sensor technology, and milk trackers to more than 250 NICUs across the country.
When babies have to spend long amounts of time in the NICU, parents can’t be there around the clock, so the technology gives them an added sense of closeness and assurance.

Christopher Rand is the CEO of AngelEye and said his company also works to raise awareness about the problems that accompany preterm births.
“We want people to know more about this issue, know more about what these families are going through, and be able to really donate or provide financial support for organizations like the March of Dimes,” Rand said.
Half of NICU parents experience clinically significant levels of depression, anxiety, and trauma, according to Rand. A little more than a third (33%) of NICU moms report having suicidal thoughts.
The money raised by March of Dimes goes towards research, education, and support.
Their “Champion of the Year” fundraising event is happening November 21st at The City Winery.
