NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) -Starting Thursday December 5, the holiday musical “Christmas in Paradise” will run at the Franklin Playhouse.

The musical tells the story about a family’s holiday journey with Dementia.

It was written and directed by Wally Nason, the most prolific writer of performed musicals in America. Nason was inspired to write the play after losing his mother-in-law to Alzheimer’s disease.

While it is a tough subject, Nason said this musical is sure to make you laugh, even if you are one of the many families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease.

“Hey, find some humor. Find some joy, but ultimately you are not alone. There are people walking through the same thing, and that’s stuff we didn’t know about when we were dealing with my mother-in-law and her journey through the disease,” said Nason.

The show will run December 5 -7 at the Franklin Playhouse.
