Community outreach group providing gifts for Nashville families
“My Brother’s Keeper” hopes to help thousands this holiday season and beyond.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Volunteers will wrap toys, clothes, and food boxes and on Friday, December 20 to give as gifts to hundreds of families in Nashville.
“My Brother’s Keeper” is a community outreach non-profit.
They work 365 days a year to combat things like gang and gun violence. They also fight recidivism and homelessness.
The gift giveaway is happening at the JC Napier Community Center and the president and CEO of the organization, Pastor Terry Wells, said the giving won’t stop once the holiday season ends.
“We’re going to be calling you to do follow ups to find out how are you doing, just see where you are because I want to be in your life for the rest of your life,” said Wells.
The JC Napier community center is located at 73 Fairfield Avenue in Nashville.
The event is happening from 12-2 p.m.
