NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The City of Nashville said inspectors are driving around and treating roads as needed. The inspectors are paying close attention to bridges and overpasses since those freeze over first.

The city said it has more snow plows ready to respond right now than it did at any point last winter. Even with the 40 snow plows the city currently has on hand, they would still like more.

That is why the city ordered more than a dozen snow plows two summers ago, but they are still waiting for them to arrive. The behind-schedule delivery has been blamed on supply chain issues. Two from that order were supposed to be here in December.

That did not happen, but the city said they should be here any day now. The rest are expected to arrive by the end of March.

The city said they have added more snow plow routes over the last year and invested in new technology, like a snow plow driving simulator, to help clear the roads faster.
